One of Jennifer Johnson’s favorite subjects to paint is nature’s still lifes. Her medium is oil on linen using both heavy and light stroke work. Johnson has been juried into several prestigious shows including the OPA Western Regional, C.M. Russell, The Western Masters, Scottsdale Salon, Greeley Stampede, Plein Air Artist of Colorado National Show, Artist of Northern Colorado National Show, Salon International in TX, and the Randy Higbee 6×6 show in CA. Her painting “Winter Road” was awarded a Merit Award and the Jury’s top 50 at Salon International, “Fall Lilies” won a Merit Award at the Plein Air Artist of Colorado National Show, “Winter Path” was selected for a Gallery Award, and “Alta Lake Reflection” received honorable mention at the Artist of Northern Colorado National Show. Jennifer was Southwest Art Magazine’s “Artist to Watch” in the November 2012 issue. She was also featured in an editorial in American Art Collector and Western Art Collector.
