K.C. Kollenkark
Artist Bio
K.C. Kollenkark was raised in the majestic mountains of Colorado. K.C. has always respected, enjoyed and marveled at the great outdoors. Graduating with an engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines, he has always looked at things with a critical eye, which has carried over to his personal life and artistic expression. K.C.’s artistic talents became evident at an early age, yet not realized until later in life, which he expressed through various forms of art and architectural design.
Through personal experience K.C. was shown the healing perfection within the human body. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life Chiropractic College West and has since helped thousands of people using the art, science and philosophy of Chiropractic. This lead K.C. on a journey for more artistic expression through oil painting.
K.C. has studied under the artist Troy Collins and through workshops with impressionistic artist Robert Moore at the Scottsdale Artists’ school. K.C. has surrounded himself with the beauty of nature his entire life. Living in both Steamboat Springs, CO and now Montana, K.C. feels blessed to be so close to nature. Whether skiing down a steep slope or hiking up a mountain peak, he looks at nature as the purest form of beauty for the human eye. He believes that each individual sees something different in nature and hopes that his paintings will also have an impressionistic spirit that will be shared by both artist and viewer. Many people have been drawn to K.C.’s paintings for their spiritual beauty within nature, and for their almost ethereal representations of the Masters of the Prairie, the American Buffalo.
K.C. and his wife, Janet make their home in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley of Montana where he continues to explore the spirituality of nature through his paintings.
